How we test and improve accessibility

To help us make this website a positive place for everyone, we follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These are the international standard for accessible websites and content and explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

We have taken an iterative approach to improving the accessibility of this site, improving elements based on regular checks and user feedback. Content is constantly changing, and we try to ensure new content is added according to the principles outlined.

A number of the above listed non-compliant elements are being actively fixed, and should be fixed within the next three months.

We test for accessibility with Google Lighthouse, WebAIM WAVE tool and manual usability checks.

User feedback helps us to continue to improve the site based on real-world usage. If you do find any problems, please get in touch using the details provided in the Feedback section.
