Saturday, 30 November, the day kicks off with a Parade which starts at Starbucks and heads down the High Road, travelling around our stage (outside Waterstones) and back to the High Road entrance to The Exchange where the walking/dancing elements will travel into the Centre and up the escalator and to the Santa’s Grotto.
The parade will be moving, but also stopping for short periods as it progresses. Any dancers wanting to dance in the Parade will need their own music.
The participants will assemble at the area beside Starbucks and will finish inside the Exchange Shopping Centre.
We also have a covered stage in the High Road, which is 6 metres by 4 metres and where there will be lighting, power and good sound system.
We are hoping that, from 12 noon, in 15 and 30 minute slots, we can provide a full afternoon of entertainment from local performance groups between until 4:00pm.
This could incorporate singing, dancing and music and we would be delighted to play host to your students as soloists or as an ensemble.
At the end of the afternoon, at 4:00pm, we plan to create a modest 'Frozen" tableau and we do have a modest budget for costumes for this element of the afternoon.
As you can see, there are three opportunities and groups are welcome to take up one, two or even all three. This offer is being made to several groups in Ilford and we will look at the best way to integrate as many people as we can.
